Healing thermo mineral water

Special hospital for medical rehabilitation Krapinske Toplice has four hyper-thermal springs, with average outflow capacity of 80 l/s.

According to International classification of waters, water is:

  • Hyper-thermal – temperature 41oC.
  • Water gushes out of limestone and is categorized as akratotherme.
  • Dissolved minerals content is 450 mg/l.
  • Chemical properties:
    • Cations:
      • Calcium – Ca++ = 52,4 mg/l
      • Magnesium – Mg++2 = 31,5 mg/l
    • Anions:
      • Bicarbonate ion – (HCO3)-- = 293,0 mg/l
      • Sulphatet – (SO4)-- = 39,7 mg/l

History:

Drinking warm mineral water as a cure, after bathing, was a common practice during the last century and has still been used, since there are numerous scientific records, as well as long term practice, that confirm therapeutic effects of this procedure.

Thermo mineral water is permanently tested; testing comprises physically-chemical parameters analysis as well as microbiological water quality analysis by Croatian National Institute of Public Health.
